Designed for special applications where available width limits the projection of a regular lateral arm awning, Ital-Shades’ exclusive Trio model extends up to 13 feet in projection within as little as 8 feet of width. This impressive reach is achieved without sacrificing its elegant design.

Trio installs like any classic retractable lateral arm awning, making it especially useful for condominiums, narrow patios, and compact outdoor spaces. Its innovative design eliminates the need for overlapping arms, preventing eye strain.

Thanks to its unique engineering, Trio’s arms retract neatly within the same space required for a regular lateral arm awning, offering maximum shade coverage without compromising space or style.

Product Highlights

When fully closed, Trio occupies the same compact space as a standard lateral arm awning. Its design allows for seamless integration into tight spaces without compromising appearance or function.

As the awning begins to extend, the front section opens first, initiating the projection in a smooth and controlled motion.

Once the front section is fully extended, it provides initial coverage while setting the stage for the next movement.
The rear section of the arm then begins to open, further extending the reach of the awning with precision and strength.
After full deployment, the back section locks into place, ensuring a stable and tensioned fabric surface ready to withstand day-to-day use.
Thanks to this smart dual-arm motion, Trio achieves a larger projection even when installation width is limited, making it ideal for narrow patios, balconies, and other space-restricted environments.

Hood & Sides

All Ital-Shades awnings are available with an optional hood and matching hood ends. The hood serves as an aluminum cover that protects the awning from rain and snow when fully retracted. Hood ends are also available to complete the protective enclosure and enhance the overall look of the system.

Roof Bracket

Roof installation is recommended when there is limited clearance or when swing doors, drains, or gutters interfere with a standard wall mount. One roof bracket is required for each standard bracket.

Each roof bracket features an adjustable hinge system designed to replicate the mounting position of a wall installation along the roofline. All Ital-Shades roof brackets are available in the same color as the selected awning frame for a seamless, coordinated finish.

Rain and Wind Stabilizers Legs Kit

With its exclusive front-leg system, Ital-Shades provides an effective solution for managing wind and rain loads on nearly all of its lateral arm models, except for the Nova.

These stabilizers are hardware-free and feature reversible ends for easy, error-proof installation. Their top and bottom joints are engineered to flex in the direction of the awning’s closure, preserving flexibility while helping to neutralize the impact of wind and rain.

Warning: Legs must be removed before closing awnings.

The Eolis 3D WireFreeTM RTS Wind Sensor is a wireless, battery powered wind sensor that will automatically retract an awning based on wind generated movements even when you are away. Battery powered, has an indicator to alert you when the battery needs to be replaced.
Ondeis is a solar-powered combined rain and sun sensor compatible with Radio Technology Somfy® motorized exterior products, including awnings, and screens. The Sensor is completely wireless and uses optical rain-sensing technology to measure rainfall and sends an RTS command when rainfall exceeds the user-selected threshold. The Sensor also utilizes a sun- level sensor that sends an RTS command when sunlight exceeds the user-selected threshold.

With specific reference to their way to be connected to the power source, both motors can be selected as:

Standard Power Solution (hard-wired and controlled by a classical wall switch)

RTS Solution (with plug wire and controlled by a remote transmitter)

The Smoover RTS surface mounted wall switch avoids cutting into drywall. This single channel, battery-operated solution is easy to install and does not require an electrician. Available with 7 decorative color frames , users can easily complement any decor.
