Hood & Sides

All Ital-Shades awnings are available with an optional hood and hood ends. The hood serves as an aluminum cover that protects the awning from rain and snow when fully retracted. Hood ends can also be added to complete the enclosure, enhancing both protection and the overall design.

Adjustable Valance

Ital-Shades’ Drop-Down Valance is a front-mounted shading system designed to provide adjustable sun protection when needed. It is compatible with most Ital-Shades retractable lateral arm awnings.

This secondary valance is installed behind the standard one and is housed in a specially designed front cassette that replaces the regular front bar. It can be easily raised or lowered using a small gear located at one end of the cassette.

The Drop-Down Valance is available in heights of 4 feet and above, and widths of up to 24 feet. It can be made with the same fabric as the awning for a seamless look or with sunscreen mesh in black, cream, gray, or brown for filtered light and privacy.

Pitch Control

A pitch control system is available with most Ital-Shades lateral arm awnings. This feature allows users to adjust the angle of each arm at any time using the supplied awning crank. It offers the flexibility to lower the arms and block low-angle sunlight or raise them when the sun is higher in the sky. This optional system provides added comfort and customized shade throughout the day.

Roof Bracket

With its exclusive front-leg system, Ital-Shades offers an excellent solution for managing wind and rain loads on most of its lateral arm models (except for the Nova).

These stabilizers are completely hardware-free and feature reversible ends for quick, error-proof installation.

The top and bottom joints are engineered to flex in the direction of awning closure, maintaining flexibility while effectively reducing the impact of wind and rain.

Rain and Wind Stabilizers Legs Kit

With this exclusive front-leg system, Alutex offers an outstanding response to wind and rain loads on virtually all its lateral arm models (not available with Nova).

Hardware-free, these stabilizers are designed with both ends reversible for error-proof installation.
Their top and bottom joints are designed to give in toward the closing direction of the awning, preserving flexibility while neutralizing wind and rain loads.

Warning: Legs must be removed before closing awnings.

The Eolis 3D WireFreeTM RTS Wind Sensor is a wireless, battery powered wind sensor that will automatically retract an awning based on wind generated movements even when you are away. Battery powered, has an indicator to alert you when the battery needs to be replaced.
Ondeis is a solar-powered combined rain and sun sensor compatible with Radio Technology Somfy® motorized exterior products, including awnings, and screens. The Sensor is completely wireless and uses optical rain-sensing technology to measure rainfall and sends an RTS command when rainfall exceeds the user-selected threshold. The Sensor also utilizes a sun- level sensor that sends an RTS command when sunlight exceeds the user-selected threshold.

With specific reference to their way to be connected to the power source, both motors can be selected as:

Standard Power Solution (hard-wired and controlled by a classical wall switch)

RTS Solution (with plug wire and controlled by a remote transmitter)

The Smoover RTS surface mounted wall switch avoids cutting into drywall. This single channel, battery-operated solution is easy to install and does not require an electrician. Available with 7 decorative color frames , users can easily complement any decor.
