Front Valance
Adjustable Valance
Ital-Shades’ Drop-Down Valance is a front-mounted accessory designed to provide adjustable sun protection on demand. It is compatible with nearly all Ital-Shades retractable lateral arm awnings.
This secondary valance is positioned behind the standard valance and is housed within a special front cassette that replaces the regular front bar. It can be raised or lowered manually using a small gear located at one end of the cassette.
The Drop-Down Valance is available in a 4-foot height and up to 24 feet in width. It can be crafted in the same fabric as the main awning for a coordinated look or in a sunscreen mesh in black, cream, gray, or brown for enhanced shade and privacy.
Pitch Control
A pitch control system is available with most Ital-Shades lateral arm awnings. This feature allows users to adjust the angle of each arm at any time using the included awning crank. With a simple turn, you can lower the arms to block low-angle sunlight or raise them back to their original position as the sun rises higher in the sky. This optional system adds flexibility and comfort to your outdoor shading experience.
Roof Bracket
Roof installation is recommended when wall space is limited or obstructed by swing doors, drains, or gutters. In these cases, one roof bracket is required for each standard wall bracket.
Each roof bracket features an adjustable hinge system designed to replicate the positioning of a wall mount along the roofline. All Ital-Shades roof brackets are available in the same color as the selected awning frame for a cohesive and polished look.
With its exclusive front-leg system, Ital-Shades provides an effective solution for managing wind and rain loads on nearly all lateral arm models (excluding the Nova).
These stabilizers are hardware-free and feature reversible ends, making installation simple and error-proof.
The top and bottom joints are engineered to flex in the direction of the awning’s closing motion, maintaining structural flexibility while helping to neutralize wind and rain pressure.
Warning: Legs must be removed before closing awnings.
